Totland Bay is a small rural beach situated on the northern shore of the Isle of Wight, approximately 500 meters from the centre of the town of Totland. The beach is a mix of sand and shingle, with a gentle slope into the sea, making it an ideal location for families with young children.
The beach is set in a bay, offering panoramic views of the Solent and the Dorset coast beyond. A promenade runs along the waterfront, continuing to Colwell Bay to the north, and the Isle of Wight coastal path also passes through the beach, taking visitors to an old lifeboat house at Widdick Chine.
Facilities at Totland Bay are good, with a range of cafes and places to eat along the promenade, as well as public toilets nearby. There is some parking available along the promenade, with a staircase and ramp providing access to the beach. The pier, which was originally built in 1880, is currently undergoing refurbishment and will feature a café when completed.
The beach is ideal for families, with a pier, café, and pub providing refreshments. Visitors can relax and enjoy the amenities or take a stroll along the seafront promenade to neighbouring Colwell Bay. The beach's west coast location makes it perfect for watching long sunsets and taking in the great views.
Totland Bay is adjacent to the Isle of Wight Coast Path.
