St Helens Beach is situated at the mouth of Bembridge Harbour, measuring less than 1km in length. The beach is a mixture of sand and shingle, sloping from the seawall into the harbour entrance channel. The beach is backed by National Trust land, providing excellent walking and bird-watching opportunities.
The beach has a café and beach huts available for hire along the promenade that stretches along the beach. Visitors can enjoy swimming, walking, and bird-watching in a peaceful environment. The beach is also dog-friendly, although there are restrictions during the summer months.
The beach is characterised by sand dunes at the rear, a sea wall, and breakwaters. The promenade offers views across the Solent, making it an ideal spot to sit back and relax. The amenities are very basic, but the natural beauty of the beach and its surroundings make it a great destination for those seeking a quiet and rural beach experience.
