Description

A lovely restored property perfectly located and a great base for couples and families to enjoy the West Wales coast plus having the bonus of the beach, harbour, shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Known as the Hideaway House, this Grade II listed Cottage is in the attractive Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron. Lined with colourful painted houses, the town has an elegant feel. Stroll around the harbour and enjoy a famous honey ice cream or delicious fish and chips and watch the boats bobbing about or walk to the pebble beach. There’s a good selection of chic independent shops, cafes and restaurants, and the town plays host to many events throughout the year. Nearby is the National Trust house of LLanerchaeron, in a beautiful setting, and accessible by foot from the back of the town along a level path, suitable for pushchairs and bicycles. If you can tear yourself way from Aberaeron, why not explore the rest of glorious Cardigan Bay? Visit the quaint seaside town of New Quay and take a boat trip; bottlenose dolphins are resident in the bay and can be seen all year round! There are 60 miles of coastal path to walk if you feel like a challenge, or plenty of sandy beaches nearby including New Quay, Llangrannog, Penbryn and Tresaith and many are dog-friendly year-round! The coastal towns of Cardigan to the south and Aberystwyth to the north are well worth a day trip and you will see some stunning scenery along the way. Come and discover what this wonderful and diverse part of West Wales has to offer.

Enter through the front door into the entrance hallway; this warm and welcoming space is the perfect space to kick of your boots. To the left of the hallway, you will find the cosy lounge area with comfy sofas, TV and feature fireplace. As you walk along the hallway, you will enter the formal dining area with original sash windows and lots of character; this the perfect space to enjoy a home-cooked meal together. Just a step down with a slight height restriction of five foot nine inches to the final room to complete the downstairs is the kitchen. Fully equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is a door leading off the kitchen to the rear patio. Heading upstairs, you will find the three bedrooms: the first bedroom which is a double, the second is a sweet single bedroom and then the final bedroom is the master double bedroom. Also on this upper floor you will find the shower room and WC.

Venturing outside to the rear of the property, you will find your own enclosed patio area and enjoy the charcoal BBQ, a great spot for al fresco dining in the warmer months and chill on the rattan outdoor furniture. There is off-road parking for two cars.
