Little Quay Beach is situated within Little Quay Bay, between New Quay and Aberaeron. The beach is sheltered and generally quiet, offering stunning views over the sea and out to Cardigan Bay. The bay is surrounded by picturesque countryside and is close to a heritage coastal path, which provides scenic walks to Aberaeron and other nearby attractions.
The area is renowned for its wildlife, with red kites frequently spotted in the vicinity. Visitors to Cardigan Bay may also catch a glimpse of dolphins or seals swimming in the bay. The beach is an ideal spot for sunset viewing, with many visitors drawn to the area for this purpose. At low tide, it is possible to walk to New Quay Harbour, a 20-minute stroll.
The nearby village of New Quay offers a range of amenities, including bars, restaurants, and cafes. Visitors can also take a boat trip from the harbour to spot seals and dolphins. The area has literary connections, with the poet Dylan Thomas having regularly holidayed in New Quay. A trail dedicated to his life can be found in the area.
