Trevaunance Cove is a small sandy beach, approximately 250 metres wide, situated on the north coast of Cornwall. The beach is enclosed on both sides by cliffs, rocks, and an old harbour wall, and is completely covered at high tide. A small stream disperses over the sand, adding to the beach's natural charm.
The cove is well-equipped with two car parks located less than a minute's walk away, as well as excellent local facilities. St Agnes is a well-known surf spot, and board and wetsuit hire, as well as surf lessons, are available. The beach is popular with families and surfers, and dogs are allowed all year round, although they must be kept on leads during the summer season.
The beach offers a range of amenities, including beach huts for hire and the 'Breakers' cafe, which serves refreshments and light snacks. During the summer, RNLI lifeguards are on duty, and at low tide, it is possible to walk around the beach to neighbouring Trevellas Porth. The village of St Agnes, located about a mile south of the beach, offers a range of accommodation options, including hotels and restaurants, as well as a Tourist Information Centre.
St Agnes is home to the environmental campaign group Surfers Against Sewage, and the beach is an important location for surfers and beach users who are passionate about protecting the marine environment.
Trevaunance Cove is on the St Agnes Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
