Feock Loe Beach is a small stretch of shingle located in the village of Feock, between Truro and Falmouth. The beach is privately owned but open to the public and offers a good range of facilities. Situated at the head of a large natural harbour, the Carrick Roads, the beach is very sheltered and generally safe for water-based activities.
The beach is excellent for bathing and sailing, and fishing from rocks to the north can also be good, especially in the early morning and evening when live prawn can produce results. The Loe Beach Watersports centre is a RYA Accredited Training Centre, and other equipment such as kayaks and paddleboards are available for hire. Next door is the Loe Beach cafe, offering a convenient spot for refreshments.
Feock Loe Beach is a dog-friendly beach with no restrictions throughout the year. From the beach, there are views along the River Fal towards the headlands at St Mawes and Falmouth where it enters the sea.
In the nearby town of St Mawes, visitors can enjoy Tavern Beach, a small south-facing sandy beach that offers picturesque views across the Carrick Roads towards Falmouth. This beach is a popular family spot with wonderful views of St Mawes bay and the 16th-century St Mawes castle.
Feock Loe Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
