Marazion Causeway Beach is a sand and pebble beach situated in front of the village of Marazion, offering ample parking and amenities. The beach is an ideal spot for families, with a lifeguard patrol and a good children's playground located on the green behind. The island castle of St Michael's Mount lies just offshore and can be reached on foot at low tide, or by boat at high tide.
St Michael's Mount is half-a-mile offshore from Marazion. At low water, a causeway links it to the town, and at high water, passenger boats carry visitors between Marazion and St Michael's Mount. Marazion lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which has the same status and protection as a National Park.
The beach offers a range of amenities, including a large grassy car park, shops, and cafes in the village. The beach is suitable for a variety of activities, including windsurfing, kite surfing, and sailing, making it a popular spot for water sports enthusiasts. The beach also attracts families during the holidays, with safe, clean water and a lifeguard patrol.
The beach is dog friendly in the winter, but restricted from May 1st to September 30th – 8am to 7pm.
Marazion is the oldest chartered town in Cornwall, adding to the beach's charm and character.
