Pwllheli Beach, also known as Marian y De, boasts a vast expanse of sand with beautifully landscaped dune areas, offering exceptional views of Cardigan Bay. The beach is accompanied by a scenic seafront promenade, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely walk while taking in the crisp sea air. The beach is also child-friendly, with a nearby free car park and easy access to the town, which provides a range of facilities.
Pwllheli is home to two beaches: South Beach and Glan-y-Mor. South Beach, which has received awards, stretches from Gimblet Rock along the promenade and around towards Llanbedrog, and is characterised by a shingle shoreline. Glan-y-Mor, located at the back of the marina, begins with a slightly muddy section near the harbour but soon transitions to a sandy beach, running for three miles to the Penychain headland.
The beach offers a range of amenities, including a seafront promenade, a child-friendly beach, and a nearby free car park. While the beach itself does not have facilities, the nearby town provides everything visitors need.
Pwllheli Beach is adjacent to the Wales Coast Path.
