Beacon Cove is situated adjacent to Torquay Harbour and close to the town centre, making it an easily accessible destination. The cove is approximately 500 metres wide and is characterised by a shingle beach.
A short walk from Torquay harbourside, Beacon Cove offers a sheltered and less crowded alternative to Torquay's main beach. The cove is equipped with beach huts for hire along the promenade, and the water is suitable for swimming.
Dog owners are permitted to bring their pets to the north of the beach, but access is restricted to the south of the beach between designated signs. Visitors can relax and enjoy the sea views, making it a popular spot for those seeking a quieter beach experience.
In the vicinity, visitors can also explore Meadfoot Beach, a rocky beach that is generally quieter than neighbouring Torre Abbey and Babbacombe.
Beacon Cove is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
