Branscombe Beach is a quiet, sheltered, south-facing beach approximately 2 miles long, comprising gently sloping pebbles. The beach begins below the charming village of Branscombe and stretches east to Beer Head.
The beach offers parking and other facilities conveniently located right by the beach. A car park is directly on the beachfront, and interestingly, there is even a helipad nearby.
The beach is ideal for both short visits and day-long excursions. Visitors can enjoy the scenic views, take a bite to eat at the beachside cafe, and explore the surrounding area. The beach offers opportunities for walking on the beach or along the scenic clifftops, with the South West Coast Path running along the beach, eastwards to Beer Head and west towards Weston Beach.
The beach is mainly shingle and pebble, but at low tide, a sandy stretch is exposed. It is backed by cliffs, adding to its natural beauty and charm.
Branscombe Beach is on the East Devon Heritage Coast and the Jurassic Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
