The coastline near Falmouth in Cornwall offers a variety of beaches, each with its unique characteristics and attractions.

Castle Beach is a long, narrow beach located close to the town of Falmouth. At low tide, a large area of exposed rocks is available for rock pooling, although it is essential to check tide times to avoid being cut off. The beach consists of a mixture of sand and pebbles, with an interesting assortment of shells. It is situated near the town railway station, and the bus stop is serviced by Great Western Greyhound 500. While there are no lifeguards on the beach, it is considered safe for swimming, especially among local groups who often meet in the mornings. The beach is popular for snorkeling and diving, particularly around the wartime wrecks offshore, with Dive UK offering opportunities for both beginners and experienced divers.

Gyllyngvase Beach is a sheltered sandy beach on the outskirts of Falmouth and is the most popular beach in the area. It has plenty of facilities and good disabled access, with a range of activities on offer. The beach is a typical family resort beach set on Cornwall's south coast, with a long, deep sandy stretch of coast that attracts both visitors and residents year-round.

Castle Beach is situated just along Cliff Road from Gyllyngvase Beach and is the most northern of all the Falmouth beaches. Visitors can walk along the Point to Pendennis Castle, the imposing coastal fortresses built by Henry VIII, for the best views across Falmouth Bay.

Castle Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
