Llanddwyn Beach, located on the south-western tip of Anglesey, is a renowned and award-winning coastal destination in Wales, known for its stunning natural beauty and diverse recreational activities.

Llanddwyn Beach is a long ribbon of sand backed by forest and five kilometres of high dunes, offering spectacular views across to the mountains of the Lleyn Peninsula. The beach stretches over a mile in length and is one of the largest areas of sand dunes in the British Isles. Also known as Newborough Warren, Llanddwyn Beach is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its rich birdlife and wildlife.

The beach is backed by luscious forest and impressive sand dunes, and boasts spectacular views of Snowdonia National Park, Caemarfon, and the Llyn Peninsula. A path leads through the grassy hills from the beach to the nature reserve at Llanddwyn Island, and the nearby forest has a fantastic network of footpaths suitable for walkers, runners, cyclists, bird watchers, and horse riders. The beach is particularly popular for kite-surfing and windsurfing, thanks to its exposed westerly aspect from the Atlantic.

The area is a National Nature Reserve, with mud flats beyond the dunes and a rich variety of birds and wildlife. The forest was planted between 1947 and 1965 to protect the village from blowing sand and stabilise the dunes. The beach has dog restrictions from May to September and, although it is a family-friendly beach, there has been some controversy regarding its use as a nudist beach.
