Wringcliff Beach is a small, rocky cove surrounded by high cliffs, situated on the South West Coast Path. The beach is characterised by its shingle and sand composition, which is revealed at low tide. At high tide, the beach almost disappears.
Parking for Wringcliff Beach is available in the Valley of the Rocks, which is signposted from Lynton. Access to the beach is via a steep path, although currently, a rockfall has closed this path. Alternatively, visitors can reach the beach via a toll road, taking the A361 towards Barnstaple, and then the A39 to Lynton and Lynmouth.
Due to its steep access path, Wringcliff Beach is not suitable for disabled visitors or young children. Visitors are also advised to be aware of the presence of feral goats in the area.
The beach offers a sheltered and scenic spot for bathing, despite its rocky composition. The stunning Lee Abbey overlooks the beach, adding to its natural beauty.
Wringcliff Beach is on the Exmoor Heritage Coast.
