Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), this beach has quite coarse sand with rocky outcrops and plenty of rockpools to explore at low tide. The most prominent feature is the famous Thurlstone Rock, best seen at high tide.
Thurlestone South Beach is on the South Devon Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
