Yarmer beach is actually the closest beach to the village, but there is no direct road access so it remains something of a hidden gem. The only public access is on foot, either along the foreshore from Leas Foot Beach or via the footpaths through Thurlestone golf course.
Yarmer Beach is on the South Devon Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
